I watched The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring on DVD Sunday & Monday. I played the disks in the Toshiba HD-DVD player to watch on the Sony high definition television. Although the disks were standard DVD, HD-DVD player enhanced the picture quality significantly. It was not 1080, but pretty darn close.
I have not heard from Julie since the 15th. When we parted, she said, "I will call you and we will talk." She has not replied to my email from Monday asking what her plans for September are. With her deployment coming up in October, she probably is busy. Still it doesn't take much time to make a phone call.

And she may not attach the same importance to calling you as you attach to being called. Drop her an email. It's much easier to muster a typed reply than to speak on the phone. Talking is a primary activity, and you can't really do it while, say, watching TV or cooking supper. Email, on the other hand, is much more forgiving.
